The MB5 is bigger than I expected at 5 inches, which actually works well for my back and hips. The layered foam has a dense outer surface but still compresses depending on how much pressure I apply, so I can go gentle on sore spots or lean in harder when I want. It breaks up tight areas in my legs better than my roller in some spots. Solid tool for self-massage, though the larger size takes a little getting used to.
